Gingerbread House Contest

The library will host a Gingerbread Competition for all interested Custer County residents.  Entries may be dropped off from December 1st to 10th and will be separated into 3 divisions:  Ages 5-8, Ages 9-12, and Ages 13-adult.  Each division will have a $50 First Place, $25 Second Place, and $15 Third Place Amazon Gift Card.  (The contest will be judged by independent judges, not library staff.)

There will be an additional People’s Choice $50 Amazon gift card.  Library visitors can vote for the People’s Choice Award during Library Hours from December 11th to 14th.  An Open House will be held on December 15th from 3-6 p.m. for the public to see the contest winners and enjoy some holiday refreshments.  To view additional competition details and rules, click HERE.  For your convenience, here’s a Gingerbread Recipe and a Royal Icing Recipe if you decide to go the homemade route.

We had so much fun at Spice Club last month that we’re going for ROUND TWO! Sign up is required, so please call or message the library if you’re interested. Everyone will receive the spice of the month and recipe for attending the class. We will also be learning how to prepare a soup stock from a pro!
